My mom has just arrived from Brazil to visit and we took the opportunity to see the Audrey Hepburn exhibhition in National Portrait Gallery (more information here) and to try out the new Ciro’s menu inspired by one of the first London performances of this iconic figure long before she became famous at the Portrait Restaurant.
GOURMET: PORTRAIT RESTAURANT
The original menu from Ciro’s, in which Audrey first performed, boasted “cocktails”, an “oyster and snack bar” and “dancing on balcony”. Now, the Portrait Restaurant has created a special menu bringing back timeless classics with a modern twist! We then ordered pink champagne, oysters and smoked salmon to start with!

After having our delicious starters we had our mains. I had Mackerel fish with potatoes and my mom ordered the Plaice with pea pureé… Everything very fresh and tasted incredible! Service was also impeccable, the lady who served us was from Estonia and told us lots of stories from when she visited Brazil!
The new Ciro’s Club Menu will run each evening (Thursday – Saturday) for the duration of the exhibition.
