The world is getting each day more technologic and watch out for the newest app on the block: Make Up Genius by L’Orèal Paris – the first ever virtual makeup tester! What it does is that it applies makeup onto your own reflection in real-time and it follows your face as you move making it quite real! I’ve been playing around with my phone and shared the experience on Snapchat the other day and it is incredible how many prints it had – a record! It was quite fun as I was showing my mom and brother how it works and they both had a go with it and we had a little giggle between us, the highlight of it was my mom loving it so much and taking prints of her selfie and to see my brother wearing make up for the first time and freaking out.
DOWNLOAD THE APP AND GIVE IT A GO
Intrigued to see how it works? The app is available through Apple’s App Store and Google Play. Download yours and let me know what you think.
SCAN YOUR FACE
After downloading the app it will ask you to “relax your face” so it can scan it for you. Just look straight and job done… Let’s go to the next step!
PICK A PRODUCT OR CHOOSE READY-TO-WEAR MAKEUP LOOKS
Here you can go straight to the products or choose from an array of beautiful inspiring looks from Cannes to catwalks and see it reflected on you! Quite amazing, right? My pick was Doutzen look from Cannes 2015….
CHECK YOURSELF OUT
Isn’t it fabulous? You can clearly see no makeup on the reflection from the mirror and makeup live reflected on the screen (and as I move as well)! One word: GENIUS!
CHECK THE PRODUCTS

Recreating the Doutzen look in Cannes from Make-up Genius
PERFECT SMOKEY EYE
Here I have applied just a little bit of foundation, contouring and highlighter just to enhance the natural beauty. Using the L’Orèal Paris Super Liner Smokissime, I applied it on the crease and blended on the lids and voila… Easy peasy!
BLOW A KISS
To complete the look I used the L’Orèal Paris Color Riche Lipstick Erotique 640. Not quite a Doutzen (I wish!) but the look is very similar to what it reflected on the Make Up Genius! Ready to recreate yours?
