PVC trend is everywhere right now and we have our eyes on it, don’t we? I literally want to live in PVC for Fall/Winter. The very shiny, high-gloss pieces had a major resurgence this season.
This Fall’16 PVC got even glossier and was popping up in show after show. Most of he designers looked to stick with the tight PVC pants, body-skimming silhouettes whereas brands such as Isabel Marant and Carven opted for slightly baggier styles, which are surely shinning already on the streets.
Some ways of how you can rock this trend below:
It isn’t as comfy as a leather one, but if you want the jacket to shine and be the protagonist of the look, PVC will be the best. You certainly will not need any other statement accessories to go with this outfit. My advise would be to tone down the rest of your look with materials such as denim or cotton.
It’s without a doubt the most visible clothing item, when it comes to PVC, on the streets style. Even designers who are more familiar with PVC normally stick with the skirts as they are a brilliant starter piece. To be honest, there’s no rules when wearing the piece. It could be very feminine or biker chic, midi or mini, as far as it gets into a nice combination with the other accessories of your outfit.
It is a tricky one! Especially when trying to wear them for day to day wear. Make sure you pair your PVC trousers with a nice top or formal shirt. Try not to wear really bright colours with it, as it will give even more the impression that you’re up for a rock concert (if you’re not going to one, but if you are: happy days!). A simple blazer/jacket should be added in order to avoid that outfit impression.
