Honeymoon Diary: One&Only The Palm Dubai

Dubai is the type of trip that anyone needs to take sometime in their lives. And me and my husband Anthony did it as one of our honeymoon destinations. With a great selection of hotels, restaurants, beaches and a lot of other attractions, being in Dubai to relax and to enjoy the company of the loved one is an amazing experience. I will share with you some details of our trip to Dubai.

Where to stay?

The One&Only company was founded back in 2002 and even having only 11 lodges around the world, the brand has become, without any doubts, one of the best ones in the luxury resort industry. Such success is very visible at One&Only The Palm, in Dubai. Very well situated in Palm Jumeirah, The Palm is the best point of your departure for your stay in Dubai. It has very easy access to all the most vibrant and lively places in the city. Also, it is very near the main landmarks such as: Sky Dive, Marina Mall and Dubai International Marina Club.

Where to eat?

After such a beautiful day under the sun, you will have three options of restaurants within the resort which include STAY. The inside part of the restaurant is just out of this world as well as it’s delicious dishes.

Apart of the restaurants in the hotel, I have three recommendations of restaurants in Dubai. I will talk a little about each of them and you will understand why you need to try them all.

Peruvian Restaurant in Dubai – Coya

Coya is a piece of the inca heritage in the middle east. The restaurant brings the best of the contemporary Peruvian food. There you jump into the inca culture while eating tasteful food.

French Restaurant in Dubai – Le Petit Maison

This is a french bistro with Mediterranean roots. The restaurant combines local produced artichokes, courgettes, lemons, olives, tomatoes, peppers and girolles to create amazing seafood and pasta dishes. The food is light and very healthy.

Chinese Restaurant in Dubai – Hakkasan

This is a Chinese restaurant with a Michelin-starred chef with over 24 years of experience. The food is a mix of traditional techniques and local ingredients to make contemporary dishes. The high Chinese gastronomy is a piece of heaven.

What to take?

Most of the people are really worried about what to take to Dubai and if occidental women need to be covered up. I didn’t have any problem and I worn shorts, skirts and short dresses with no restrictions. As an international tourist destination, Dubai is a place that openly welcomes people from everywhere and gives them a good time!

What to do?

It is just an ideal place for couples searching for a very tranquil escape. You can choose to spend your days by the fascinating swimming pool, or to also be on the resort’s private beachfront, where you will have some ice-cool refreshments while laying on a massive designer daybed.

There’s something that I absolutely loved and highly recommend: the Guerlain Spa at the hotel. There are three types of exclusive signature treatments: “Dubai Harmony”, “Solar Evasion” and “Désert d’Orient”. The first one includes a vitality boosting treatment with cold and hot touches. The second one is an oriental and a quite romantic one, as it can be shared with your loved one and the third is a body and face treatment as the main aim the protection of the skin for a healthy glow.
