Venice

Where to stay

The Gritti Palace has to be one of Venice’s most celebrated luxury hotels. It is considered a place where the best from Italy, which includes gastronomy, culture and history, gets together with the best of Venetian style. The palace is located right along the beautiful Venice’s Canal Grande – its terrace affords views of the Grand Canal, the Giudecca Island and southern lagoon, one of the most beautiful views I have certainly known. Definitely a place a recommend you guys to stay at!

Places to have lunch at:

Trattoria Alla Madonna – It is such a traditional place, right next to Rialto Bridge. The speciality of the house is seafood! Their Clams Linguine is something out of this world.

Cipriani –It is definitely a nice place to go for lunch and the cool thing about it is that you need to get on the boat to get in the place. A bit overpriced though.

Antiche Carampane – One of our favourites for lunch – Spectacular service and food, with an intimate atmosphere.

Places for dinner:

Da Ivo – It has to be my total favourite in Venice. Just amazing for a romantic dinner :)
This very traditional Northern Italian restaurant definitely offers the freshest and highest quality food. The inside is very charming and with classic furniture, so cozy and lovely! The place is also beloved by the Venetians themselves.

Da Arturo – Located right in the heart of Venice, Vini da Arturo is undoubtedly one of the most known restaurants in town.  They have a mind-blowing pork chop Milanese and it’s kind of a hidden gem, tiny and many Hollywood people love it.

Where to stop by and visit:

Harry’s Bar – Well known for being supposedly the birthplace of the Bellini, Harry’s Bar is definitely a nice place to pop in for a drink when in Venice. The place is a bit overpriced and touristic as well but worth going if you have more days in town.

Bauer Hotel Bar – To have drinks at Bauer Hotel Bar is an excellent idea especially on sunny afternoon. It features a gourmet restaurant and a terrace overlooking the Grand Canal. (call before, the rooftop one it’s only for guests but sometimes there’s one downstairs that is open).

Gritti Palace Bar – It is for sure a must-do! The service is great, the view was so beautiful, and the drinks/snacks were top of the line. Stop by for a glass of Prosecco at least.

The Peggy Guggenheim Museum – This modern art museum right on the Grand Canal is a must go too. It’s well known for being one of the most visited attractions in Venice.

Fondazione Prada – Great exhibitions to see and they are beautifully displayed in the palazzo – highly recommend too J
